Hi-Fi News, December 1968

A classified "Cash Discount" ad placed by M. O'Brien of Compton Road, London S.W.19, in Hi-Fi News's December 1968 issue (scan p.148, printed p.1546) reads: "Akai: 150D, £108/18/4. 1710W, £91/19/3." The ad prints the model as plain "150D" without the X- prefix, unambiguous under the "Akai:" heading. Against the Hi-Fi Year Book's contemporary list price of about £130, £108/18/4 works out to roughly 16% off.

The scan carries a printed page number, 1546, but no on-page date — "December 1968" follows worldradiohistory.com's own filing of the issue.
